In no particular order...
- One day I said to Ryan, "wow, how'd you know that? you're so smart!" Mariella hears me and says, "Ma, he knows that because you TAUGHT him, you forgot?" I am kept on my toes!
- One day at lunch, Mariella is eating and all of a sudden out of nowhere a light bulb went on in her eyes and I knew I was in for it. "I KNOW!" she says really loud. "YOU ate a special strawberry w/ seeds on it and I grew from one of the seeds! RIGHT?! Is THAT HOW I CAME HERE?!" My quick thinking response, "Yeah, kinda like that, I'll tell you about it a bit later..." Remember, never leave the child w/ question...! Thank heaven it ended there.
- While tucking Ryan in to bed one night, he reaches up w/ one arm, grabs around my neck hard and pulls me to him and says, "Mommy, you're my big teddy bear and I love you!" And, that's his new bedtime tradition...works for me :)
- "Hey Mom!", says Mariella, "you know what's better than a little bit o' life?" "what's that Mariella?" "A LOTTA LIFE", she said. You got that right.
- Ryan singing, "you are my sunshine, my only sunshine........please don't take my mommy, Allison awaaaaaay" He got kisses and then some.
- Ryan last night...presses the boobs..." I JUST LOVE BOOBS," he says....any questions?!!!!!!!!!!!
- Mariella last night getting tucked into bed, "Mom, you are everything I ever wished for and I love you", did I cry my way back down the stairs? you betcha.
- THE POLIZZI TRADITION: We've adopted the idea of Friday night picnic nights...we've been doing this almost two months now...every Friday night we order take-out and set out a plaid table cloth on the living room floor and have picnic dinner while watching the kids' movie of choice. It's a great way to end the week and gets us away from our ever so rigid schedule! I recommend trying this...lots of fun and something to look forward to! :)
- I'll keep them coming, I also need to have Joe add to the blog, he gets a lot of funnies too, afterall, he's the 'fun' one!!!!
